Alexander Gustafsson might not be fighting for the gold, but he does have an opinion on a fight that he will keep his eye on the fight come September.
"It's an interesting matchup," Gustafsson said. "Both are great athletes and it's going to be a tough fight for sure. But Jones has his height and reach advantage over DC, so I think that will be the key thing in this fight. I think Jones by decision. "I really want to fight him."

He defeated Maurício Rua via TKO to win the title in 2011 and went on to defend his title six times with wins over fighters named: Quinton Jackson, Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen and finally back in September against Alexander Gustafsson. He is coming off a win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 172.
